Metamorphose of 4 historical buildings on the riverside of the Hanzestad Kampen were transformed into a small boutique hotel.  4 different construction periods, from the 19th century,  the oldest being a historical monument. A big challenge to lift these ancient buildings to the modern standards of a luxurious boutique hotel. Routings, fire regulations, escape routes etc. had to be integrated. The different architectural styles of the 4 buildings had to be assembled to one logical entity. Also the interior design had to create a homogeneous atmosphere that makes quests feel at home. Because of all the different architectural styles the colourscheme is kept very simple and light. The personal touch can be found in the monumental marble plates in the bathrooms. These unique plates were selected one by one.
