floating porcelain
Artpiece Dyptich Alphabet was a private commission. The artwork consists of two wooden frames, each measuring 80 cm x 150 cm. The wall of the frame serves as the backdrop for a collection of small porcelain artworks. These porcelain pieces are positioned at varying heights, giving the impression that they are floating above the surface.
shadows
As the porcelain elements float above the surface, a second artwork is created. The shadow patterns cast on the background by the porcelain pieces. Through different lighting angles, the artwork transforms. With the movement of sunlight throughout the day, the shadow play on the piece will also vary, adding a dynamic and ever-changing dimension to the work.
lace
The artwork Diptych Alphabet is made from porcelain that is finely crafted and organic, giving it the appearance of delicate lacework. The openings in the porcelain allow light to pass through, creating a new pattern on the background of the piece.
Korean Alphabet
The small artworks are inspired by the Korean alphabet. Korean letters and characters served as the inspiration for the various porcelain elements. However, it is not a direct representation of the alphabet.
