ART
by esther van der sluis
Concepts such as impermanence, imperfection, austerity and nature as a source of inspiration are recognisable and natural elements for me.
Despite my primal Dutch roots, I feel great affinity with themes from the Japanese design tradition. Both aesthetically and thematically. Two important Japanese concepts that are related to this and frequently recur in my work are WabiSabi and Kintsukeroi.
