The handmade ceramic washbasin can be made in porcelain or stoneware, depending on the client's preference. The finish is also variable. It could be a washbasin in white porcelain, or, for example, I designed and created washbasins in black stoneware for an architectural firm.
custom made interior design
For various clients, I design and create interior objects from porcelain. This means that my commissions are highly diverse, ranging from light fixtures to washbasins. They are always custom-made, ensuring that each piece is unique and can be designed specifically for the client and the location. The commissions can vary in the type of object, material, or design. Sometimes, a completely new shape needs to be created, while other times, it involves developing a unique glaze or adding a personal logo.
personal welcome studio
Due to the unique nature of almost all my commissions, I prefer to welcome clients personally in my studio. Here, each client receives the full attention and time needed. This personal approach helps clarify the client's wishes. Furthermore, the creative setting of my studio, offering plenty of inspiration. In addition to a wide range of materials, there are also examples of other commissions and ongoing collections on display. This not only provides a clear overview of the possibilities but also fosters the generation of new ideas.
Traject van de opdracht
Een opdrachtgever kan op zoek zijn naar een geheel nieuw item, variërend van een sojapitcher, Delfts Blauw kaasbord tot giftbox in Limited Edition. Het proces begint doorgaans met een brainstormsessie in mijn studio. Hier heb ik alle mogelijke voorbeelden, materialen en eerdere opdrachten bij de hand om samen te brainstormen en de vraagstelling helder te krijgen. Op basis van deze vraagstelling ontwikkel ik een aantal voorstellen en maak ik een proefmodel. Vervolgens volgt het definitieve ontwerp en ga ik over tot het vervaardigen van de objecten, inclusief eventuele verpakkingsopties en andere marketingaspecten.
